NOISE & HEALTH - March 2000:

At NoiseWatch's request, the Toronto Public Health and Environmental Protection Office wrote a comprehensive Noise & Health report making recommendations for the City of Toronto to establish a public awareness campaign on noise for the city. The Toronto Board of Health adopted the recommendations from this report on May 1, 2000.

COMMUNITY NOISE - 1995:
World Health Organization (WHO) Report
Describes how environmental noise may have a number of direct adverse effects on exposed people including disturbance of sleep, auditory and non-auditory (physiological, cardiovascular) effects, interference with communication and general annoyance. Takes a while to download.
